Is Tommy Pham 30/30 material?

January 22, 2018 at 3:13 pm

Is Tommy Pham capable of putting together a 30/30 season? The Cardinals seem to be giving him every opportunity towards a full time role in 2018. Does that make him someone you’re targeting?

Assuming Pham stays in the 2 spot think he def has a shot. But if at points in the season he gets shuffled around (maybe to the 3-4-5 area) he may get less SB opps which could limit his 30 30 potential.

He will be turning 30 years old this year, and 2017 was his only season having more than 2 SBs or double digit HRs. Not buying into him. My answer is a HARD NO.

You’re dismissing the multiple years he stole 20 in the minors

fair point about his ability to steal via his time in the minors, but thats also the minors (much diff competition). either way, do like pham this year, but 30/30 is prob his ceiling
